1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and NumberScout ("NumberScout", "we", "us") and govern your use of the NumberScout website and services. By using the service, creating an account or purchasing a report or subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms are effective as of August 28, 2026.
2. The service
NumberScout provides a reverse phone lookup service that searches publicly available web pages and public records and compiles the results into a report. Reports may include possible names, locations, email addresses and social profiles associated with a phone number. Coverage varies by number and source, results are not delivered in real time, and we cannot guarantee that any report will be complete, accurate or up to date.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use NumberScout. By using the service you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide to us is accurate.
4. Subscription and billing
Access to full reports is sold as a subscription. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, the subscription starts with a 7-day introductory trial for $3.99. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically renews at $29.99 every 28 days until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and are charged to the payment method you provide at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
You can cancel at any time by emailing support@numberscout.org with the subject "Cancel my subscription". Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund charges already made, except as described in our Refund Policy. After cancellation you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
5. Acceptable use
You agree that you will NOT use NumberScout or any information obtained through it to:
- stalk, harass, intimidate, dox, threaten or harm any person;
- make decisions about consumer credit, employment, insurance, housing, tenant screening or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) — NumberScout is not a consumer reporting agency and does not provide consumer reports;
- violate any applicable law, regulation or the rights of any third party;
- scrape, resell, republish or bulk-download our data, or access the service by automated means without our written permission; or
- attempt to probe, disrupt or circumvent the security of the service.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without refund, if we reasonably believe you have violated this section.
6. Disclaimers
The service and all reports are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that results will be complete, accurate, current or available for any particular number, and information in a report should never replace your own judgment and due diligence. NumberScout makes no representation about the character or integrity of any person, business or entity identified in a report.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NumberScout will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
8. Changes to the service and these Terms
We may modify the service or these Terms at any time. If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you by email. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which NumberScout is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
10. Contact
